This Is My Season: A Reflection on Grace, Favor, and the Harvest

By Kateb Nuri-Alim Shunnar

Here’s a fact you probably never think about: your heart beats around 100,000 times a day without you even noticing. Wild, right? It’s like a rhythm of life happening inside of you, steady and constant, whether you’re paying attention or not. I like to think of it as the Creator’s way of saying, “I’m here. I’ve got you.” Over and over, in the quietest way. And yet, most of us are too busy to catch that message.

Before we dive into this reflection, I need to say something upfront. I know I write a lot about spirituality, and I get that it might feel repetitive. Maybe you’ve read a few of my reflections and thought, “Here we go again another deep dive into faith and the Creator.” But hear me out: I’m not trying to preach. I’m not here to convert anyone. This is just how I process life. It’s how I share my story the only way I know how.

I don’t just want these words to speak to you today. I want them to carry weight far beyond me. I want them to travel galaxies. To be a whisper in someone’s ear centuries from now when they need it most. That’s why I write not for now, but for what’s to come.

Now, about this season.

T.H.I.S. Is My Season

Take a moment to break it down: Trust. Hope. Intention. Surrender. That’s what this season is all about. It’s a time to trust the process, hold onto hope even when things don’t make sense, move with purpose, and finally, let go of the things you can’t control. Trust me, surrender isn’t easy I’ve wrestled with it more times than I can count.

Lately, I’ve been feeling like everything I’ve been working toward, praying for, and waiting on is finally coming together. You ever plant something and wonder if it’ll ever grow? That’s how life feels sometimes. We sow seeds effort, kindness, dreams and we wait. But waiting? That’s the hardest part.

There were times I doubted if my seeds would ever take root. But here’s the thing: the Creator doesn’t forget. Those seeds? They were never ignored. They were being nurtured in ways I couldn’t see. And now, they’re starting to bloom.

C.R.E.A.T.O.R. Loves Me

Let me flip this idea into an acronym too: Compassion. Renewal. Encouragement. Abundance. Trust. Omnipresence. Restoration. That’s the Creator’s love for us. It’s more than just a feeling it’s action. It’s every moment of grace we didn’t deserve, every closed door that protected us, and every open one that propelled us forward.

I’m not perfect far from it. I’ve stumbled, messed up, and doubted more times than I can count. But you know what? The Creator’s love doesn’t waver. It’s not based on how good I’ve been or how much I’ve achieved. It’s steady, like that heartbeat we take for granted.

Everything Is Working Together

You ever step back and realize how all the random, messy parts of your life somehow connect? Like, every setback, every detour, every unanswered prayer it all comes together. Not always the way you planned, but always the way it was meant to.

I’ll be honest, I’ve had seasons where I couldn’t see it. Seasons where I felt like I was stuck in the dirt, wondering if I’d ever see the light. But looking back now, I realize those were the times when the most growth was happening.

And that’s the beauty of this season. It’s a reminder that nothing we’ve been through is wasted. Every tear, every struggle, every triumph it’s all part of the harvest.

So here I am, standing in my season. Not because I’ve earned it, but because the Creator is faithful. And if you’re still waiting for your season? Keep going. Your time is coming.

This isn’t just a reflection. It’s a declaration: T.H.I.S is my season. And yours is on its way.

T.H.I.S. I.S. M.Y. S.E.A.S.O.N.

Trust in the process.

Hope in the unseen.

Invest with faith.

Sow in love.

Initiate new beginnings.

Stay grounded in grace.

Move with intention.

Yield to the Creator’s plan.

See beyond the obstacles.

Embrace the lessons.

Acknowledge the blessings.

Stand firm in your purpose.

Overcome with courage.

Nurture what you’ve planted.

T.H.E. C.R.E.A.T.O.R. L.O.V.E.S. M.E.

Tenderly holds me.

Heals my brokenness.

Elevates my spirit.

Cares unconditionally.

Remembers my efforts.

Empowers my growth.

Answers my prayers.

Transforms my heart.

Offers endless grace.

Renews my strength.

Looks beyond my flaws.

Opens doors I can’t see.

Values my journey.

Embeds purpose in my life.

Surrounds me with love.

Meets me in my struggles.

Embraces me with favor.

These acronyms became a mantra for me. It’s not just about celebrating where I am it’s about honoring every step that brought me here. Because every tear, every prayer, every act of faith was a seed. And those seeds were never forgotten.

The Creator works like that faithfully watering our efforts, even when we can’t see the growth. And when the harvest comes, it’s always abundant, always more than we expected. I can’t help but marvel at how everything truly does work together for our good, even when we don’t understand the process.
