Ponder This.

Here’s the thing: kindness isn’t about grand gestures or dramatic acts. It’s about the little moments the quick smile, the helping hand, the willingness to see someone’s humanity instead of their mistake. These small actions ripple outward in ways we can’t always see, touching lives and inspiring others to do the same. We don’t have to be mean, petty, hateful, or sarcastic; we can choose to be kind.
The question is, for you and me: who are we at war with, and why? Why do we feel the need to always be on the defense? Why do we mistreat people while convincing ourselves that we’re being “real” or “keeping it 100”? I often ask myself, Kateb, what if the Creator treated you the same way you handle your affairs with others? How would you feel? What if you were ignored, pushed aside, made to feel less than, spoken to rudely, or left feeling uncomfortable, unacceptable, unimportant, or dismissed just because the Creator was “in His feelings”?
The next time someone stumbles, let’s choose compassion. Let’s plant seeds of kindness that grow into something beautiful. In those moments, we’re not just helping someone else; we’re reflecting the best parts of ourselves and, perhaps, the light of the Creator.
And really, isn’t it comforting to think that, on our messy days, someone might choose to do the same for us?
