Embracing Self-Worth: Valuing Yourself in the Eyes of the Divine Part 1......
By Kateb Nuri-Alim Shunnar
In our pursuit of love and acceptance, we often find ourselves in environments that do not recognize our true worth. This longing for affection and support from those who matter to us can lead us into situations where we are undervalued and disrespected. These are the places where our hearts are taken lightly, our contributions overlooked, and our presence barely acknowledged. It is a painful realization when we see those we care about growing indifferent, their warmth turning cold, and their interest fading. We are left questioning our own goodness, doubting our worth, and wondering where we went wrong.
This struggle is not just confined to personal relationships but extends to our professional lives and friendships as well. It is in these moments of sadness and confusion that we might find ourselves questioning the Creator, asking why we are subjected to such treatment, and feeling distant from the blessings and grace that once seemed so abundant. Yet, it is precisely in these moments of doubt and despair that we must remind ourselves of our inherent worth and the unwavering love of our Creator.
You cannot thrive in an environment that fails to see your value. If you choose to remain in such surroundings, you will inevitably diminish your own gifts and potential to fit the narrow expectations of those around you. This shrinking of self leads to anxiety, depression, and stress, as you contort yourself into a form that others can tolerate. But remember, you are not meant to be small because others think small. Your vision and dreams should not be compromised because they cannot keep up. You deserve to be in a space where your worth is acknowledged and celebrated, where your gifts can flourish, and where your spirit can soar.
In this reflection, it is essential to understand the importance of self-love and divine love. The Creator has stood by us through every storm, forgiving our shortcomings and loving us unconditionally. This divine love is a powerful reminder that we are valued beyond measure. If someone truly loves themselves and their Creator, they will stand by you no matter what. They will not walk away when challenges arise, for they understand the depth of divine forgiveness and grace that has been extended to them. Such individuals will embody the same unconditional love and commitment in their relationships with others.
Aligning ourselves with people who genuinely love and respect both themselves and their Creator is crucial. It is through these meaningful connections that we can find true support and encouragement. When surrounded by those who appreciate their own worth and the worth of others, we can grow, thrive, and live out our fullest potential. This alignment is not just beneficial; it is essential for our spiritual and emotional well-being.
The journey to self-worth begins with recognizing that the Creator’s love for us is steadfast and unchanging. It is a love that sees us in our entirety, values our gifts, and calls us to live out our purpose boldly and unapologetically. In the Creator's eyes, we are priceless, and it is this divine perspective that should shape how we view ourselves and the environments we choose to inhabit.
When we embrace our worth and align ourselves with those who do the same, we create a space where our gifts are nurtured, our spirits are uplifted, and our connection to the divine is strengthened. It is a place where we no longer have to shrink to fit in but can expand to fulfill our divine purpose. By choosing environments and relationships that honor our worth, we honor the Creator who made us and loves us unconditionally.
This reflection serves as a reminder to cherish our divine worth, seek out supportive and loving environments, and surround ourselves with those who reflect the Creator's unwavering love and grace. When we truly love someone, we should show them appreciation, just as the Creator does for us. We must stop being cold-hearted and, instead, express genuine warmth and gratitude. By doing so, we not only find the strength to thrive but also become a source of light and love to others, fulfilling our divine purpose with joy and confidence.
